A lot of them fell short of the mark.
1) I enjoyed using the battery for the first few months, but then it started to slow down significantly. In addition, the charging time is very short, only 10 to 20 minutes.
For two reasons: 1) The fingerprint scanner on the power button was annoying, and 2) I preferred a different placement for the fingerprint scanner. When I set down my phone, I always make sure to push the power button and turn off the display. If I need to check a notification without unlocking the device but before I turn off the screen, I can just push the power button to activate fingerprint recognition. The scan, however, is very clear.
As for point 3, there was a factory movie that quickly degenerated into chaos. Put it down and went for a stroll sans it. After a few days, I saw two significant scratches. Very poor quality compared to prior samungs.
4). Finally, we reached the camera. When it comes to tweaking the settings, I like to leave everything on Auto because I am terrible at adjusting the various factors, noise, etc. My wife and I both had iPhones from the same year, but I always had a galaxy s. Although we both agreed that Samsung cameras are superior, we always used mine when we took pictures. When I compare these photographs to the ones on my daughter's iPhone XR, I feel like crying. My better half owns the latest iPhone, the Pro 11, and it's a chasm. The photos on my old Galaxy S8 were better. Everything from sharpness and detail to color and saturation to focus is horrendous. The front camera and video quality are both excellent.
