The rims are cut wrong

After a few months of inactivity at my shop I opened the box and found that all the rims were cut at the back. This means that the edges of the discs roll forward towards the tree. This will cut into the wood and leave marks on the wood. The more you try to grind them down, the more marks you'll get if you don't move the grinder fast enough. I've bought them before and had no problems. They stick to the grinder without any problems. Unfortunately, they didn't come back to me for too long, so…

Not bad money, but I'd rather buy better quality at a higher price.

They stick well but the grit doesn't last long. In fact, if you're paying half for something that's double the price, buying quality pads is a scam as you'll be changing them 1/2 or 1/3 more times. The punching tool left circles in many pads, which need to be removed manually before use, which is a little troublesome, which is very important for effective dust removal. 60 and 80 grit pads last a little longer than finer grit pads. 220 pads is almost a joke. Generally just okay.

  • Decent performance

A perfect match for the Dewalt DWE6423K!

I have a DEWALT DWE6423K 5" Variable Speed Random Orbital Sander so I bought a DEWALT DW4306 5" 8-Hole 220 Grit Hook & Loop Orbital Sandpaper (5 per pack) to use and paid for $6.47 each (which works out to $1.29 per disc). This time I tried LotFancy Sanding Paper with 5" 8 Hole Hook and Loop Dustless Sanding Disc, Pack of 100 (20 pack of 60 80 120 150 220 grit) for $18.40. (That's $0.18 per disc .) The hole pattern on the disc matches my Dewalt random orbit sander perfectly. I have used several

Best value for the money! Get them

For the price they are a good choice and I am placing my second order for a larger quantity. On average I burn 45 to 65 5 inch discs a month to sand fiberglass, gelcoat, epoxy and wood. I was concerned when I ordered that I would end up throwing them away. but I was shocked at how well they worked and how many of them were enough for a disc of less than twenty cents. There were some loop failures, maybe 5 out of 100, the sand held up almost as well as the higher end brands. If you're looking…

Pros

Bad batch?: Mill parts and accessories

I have been building kitchen islands, chopping boards, stools, benches, tables, toys, art and many other woodwork items for a number of years now. Years old and I'm sorry to say this is the worst type and brand of sandpaper I've ever used. Very poor cutting wear, none of the grits in the range cut very well. Each disc was used less than 5 minutes before I had to switch discs. Some failed even earlier because the hook and loop base just lost grip and let go of my grinder even at low speed and I…

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Requires an outlet

not bad for the price, but not great

I've used, conservatively, over 80,000 grinding wheels over the last 50 years. Most of them repaired and painted cars, boats and airplanes, but many also built canoes as a hobby. I've probably used most if not all of the major brands. Some are good, some are excellent and some are not so good. I usually buy Gater 5" discs for canoe use as they are inexpensive and readily available in packs of 50. 3/4 price. They work. But they wear out much quicker so I think the cost of the Gator disc is lower

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Some minor things

OK, but there are far better options

Seems cheaply made. The good news first: I ordered these for a Harbor Freight Palm Sander (#9343) and the holes in these dust collector disks match this pad perfectly. Unfortunately, the overall impression of these discs is not very good (compared to Mestool). The 6" branded discs I last ordered for air tools.) First, the grit on these discs seems uneven and is much less densely packed than Mestool discs; as a result, this is the same brand disk, z. B. a 120, not as smooth as Mestool discs…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Vulgarity
