My biggest regret is that 0 stars could not be given. Once we find out who designed this 110 volt disaster, we'll find out who was the last to graduate from an engineering course. This product fails completely at every point. The only plus is that the heating element works. When you see this product, run, don't go to the nearest exit and don't look back.

I bought it late at night when I was high. Received in the mail, tried the grilled cheese. This is how my hair smells when I straighten it with my ceramic flat iron. I would have overlooked this if the trays (which the sandwich sat on) weren't so small. I couldn't fully close AND block the grill, I ended up having a weird smell/raw grilled cheese from not being able to fully close. This is what you get when you order high!

If you have birds, you know that PTFE and PFOA are deadly to them because of their fumes (of course, these products are dangerous to us too!). When we received our bird, we replaced some of the dangerous paraphernalia we had. I'm so glad I found this sandwich! It's almost the same as ours, but safe for birds. Works very well, heats up quickly, easy to clean. Simple and effective, perfect for what we wanted. We also use it to toast French bread slices.

This is such a poorly designed device compared to all the others. Sandwiches and whole dishes that they show you making are utter nonsense. This device is basically a press and what you are seeing here is regular grilled cheese, not with tomatoes or onions or anything special but with TWO slices of regular cut provolone cheese and because of the press it's leaking all over the place. What I love about this Gotham sandwich maker is how easy and delicious the sandwiches are, you don't have to add oil or butter so it's healthier but I like giving some throw in garlic olive butter and wow beautiful! I have been using these Hot Sandwich Makers for over 20 years. If mine breaks, I just get a new one. I live in blazing hot centers with fully closed triangular fins. My wife and I have been looking for a product like this for a long time. She had one when she was younger and remembered how good it made grilled cheese sandwiches. Once we started using it it was great! It was very good at toasting bread and melting cheese, but there was a small problem. Even for ordinary slices of bread, this model seems too small.
