These are the nicest and best value crayons I have. I have about 8 sets of premium colored pencils. Prisms, guidelines, lyres. And some of the more expensive medium quality pencils. I would rate them closer to my art grade pencil in performance, with the exception of lightfastness, which we have no information on. These sticks are creamy, buttery and easy to layer. When I saw that all the reviews on it were 5 stars I thought something was wrong but no. These pens are just great. I have regular Sargeant pencils and they don't work, they are dry, hard and without pigment. This is completely the opposite. The pencils are smooth, soft and have incredibly rich pigment. They blend easily, no need to create multiple layers to blend, just layer one color and then another with a slight overlap and you have a seamless blend. Another plus is the color scheme. So…

UPDATE: I have already bought and given away a number of Prismacolors. Then I skipped them because I love the colors so much! They do a great job and the color variety is very good for me so I've just received my second order. Sigh. I really LOVE her that much.
