(Not long enough for five stars yet) I chose this for a new MacBook Pro to use in an Ubuntu VM. It works great: one click pass, no USB crap on OSX, works like a champ. against other devices connected to the laptop.

I really like this product, it does exactly what it is supposed to do! I like that there is no flimsy cable connected to the device. It fits right into my 2016 MacBook Pro with no issues. I recommend it to everyone who is looking for an SD card reader for their new 2016 MBP. Compare it to Sandisk's $30 SD card reader and this Satechi is a winner. What do you think?

I received the item to give to my daughter for her birthday. She used it once with success and the next time it didn't work at all. Of course the return period has passed and now we are stuck with an item that we cannot use. Very disappointed. I do not recommend!

Great and simple solution to the main problem of MacBook Pro 2016. The beautiful design and much faster charging compared to connecting the camera directly to your MacBook which is very slow make it this an easy task.

I like this card reader. I couldn't find another that wasn't clumsy or just as easy to use. It fits snugly and flush with any USB-C port on a MacBook Pro (Late 2016 Edition). As my first USB-C reader, I was blown away by the download speeds. This reader is about the size of a chewing gum.
