No Instructions best in my review

I gave it three stars because I don't know yet. Mine had been repackaged, I think, and it came with no instructions. I don't know what the numbers mean. There will be much trial and error in learning how to use this thing.

  • Easy to use and the magnifying glass is definitely a plus.
Cons
  • Zinc and copper alloy may tarnish over time, which could make the pliers appear less attractive

Item is as advertised

The Attached magnifying glass is a nice add-on. I have the same item without a magnifier and I recommend the add-on That's my review!

Works great good for me

The saw set worked great. Easy to use I set the teeth on several saws from 7 to 11 teeth per inch. Especially liked the magnifying lens. Do not try to use a hammer and a nail set to do this job you risk ruining a handsaw.

After some modifications it is marginally useful at best

Was pretty disappointed. After seeing a bunch of positive reviews I was hopeful it would be useable out of the box. Maybe im just unlucky, but mine came with so much slop in the cylinder that locks onto the saw blade, that the piece that is supposed to push the tooth out, wouldn't actually touch the teeth of the saw. I had to take about a 1/16th piece of steel and shove it down the top of the cylinder to get it to actually push the teeth.Before, it would touch the tooth and then immediately…

Works good for my opinion

I am happy with the workmanship that is very good for the money I paid. The magnifying glass helps speed up the setting process. I may need to get a set with smaller punch for my finer tooth saws as the punch on this set is to big for anything below 12 points.

Ebay is a disappointment

Sad! I purchased many individual items to sharpen my wood working hand tools and amazing completely lied, over and over again.I will end up selling this for cheap on CraigslistIf you saw is 7 teeth per inch. great!I specified 24 teeth per inch and this company ripped me off on 3 other products including files.I will never buy tools off Ebay again. Poor quality for my opinion

Arrived broken, not from shipping but poor manufacturing. I had to dismantle and file parts to fit properly. Perfect set for my saws..

Well made, works as intended. I do like the magnifier and find that this helps me immensely. Good value for the money spent.

Ya, I buy junk just to fix it!

Ease of use, NO, I had to take it apart because the hammer was.in my honest opinion, TRASHED, by someone at the factory.or, by an individual who didn't take care of it and sent it back. They should be paying me for doing their quality control and repair work, value for the money.ya right. set 1 1/2 saws and the handle broke off where it is unfixable.

This is an item I use very occassionally. Used it twice, and it broke and cannot be fixed. I relized the return window has closed, but really that's ridiculous.Moral: Don't buy things made in China.
