Description of ๐Ÿ“ฑ Scan with Ease: Introducing the Scanner Bin - Smartphone Scanning Stand for Documents, Photographs, and 3D Objects

Flatbed scanners simply cannot compete with your smartphone and a Scanner Bin. Improved resolution and color rendering compared to popular flatbed scanners. Compare to 1200 DPI. Takes a fraction of the time to scan at a fraction of the cost. Not to mention that flatbed scanners end up adding a lot of hazardous e-waste to your local landfill. Solve the common issues with smartphone scanning. Provides a contrasting background for consistent edge-detection and auto-cropping. Controls the lighting and provides stability and proper positioning (with multiple points of adjustment) while you scan with your smartphone. Flatten paper with the included Flatsheet. Scan photographs, receipts, letters, notes, artwork, fragile documents, etc. Also used as an aid for the blind or visually impaired or as a document camera for remote learning. When you aren't scanning, turn on its side to use as a desk-side bin to toss in the items you want to scan later. Utilize the provided, high color rendering index (CRI) and very bright LED's to provide even illumination of your scanned documents. Scanning platform is 9โ€ x 13โ€, LEDโ€™s powered via USB port (5VDC), full kit folds-up and weighs 12 ounces. Adjustable positions for device distance from scanning platform, alignment position of device, and position/angle of LED lighting. Use with popular FREE APPS for document scanning like Adobe Scan, Scanbot, Evernote Scannable, CamScanner, and Prizmo Go.

Good idea, but each camera has its own focus.

Good idea but since every camera has a different focal length it was pretty much useless for my Moto Z. probably doesn't work for many people.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Not sure

Great for scanning photos

I bought these to digitize all my old photos without using a scanner or computer. I wanted to use my iPhone but couldn't because of the reflections in the photos. With the scanner basket, I can quickly copy photos without reflections in the images. It really saves time at a very low cost.

Pros
  • price
Cons
  • boring packaging

It has more than paid off.

Bought because of hand tremors. A few minutes ago I took a picture of the e-filing authorization forms and sent them to my accountant. I'm so glad I don't have to mess with a temperamental scanner on my desk or manage a UPS to get them to do this. I think about it every time I use the trash can. Today I thought it was time to write this.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Let's spell out: JUNK

This might have been useful in 2016 or 2017. Now it's a piece of junk. Bought a few weeks ago to scan photos and documents. It's not worth using. Newer phones, like my almost two-year-old iPhone 8 (and even iPhone 6), have built-in scanning for documents and photos into Notes. This feature is much faster and automatically corrects shadows and perspective. I'd throw this in the trash, but my town hasn't recycled paper products in months. So this scanner goes to the trash.

Pros
  • It's all right!
Cons
  • Other Other

A great, inexpensive tool to help visually impaired users.

This is a surprisingly simple and inexpensive device that makes print materials much easier to access for the visually impaired. The problem for the visually impaired is that it can be difficult for them to align text in the camera's field of view and ensure it is perfectly focused and spaced correctly. This box puts the seal in just the right place. Adding a small lamp (I used an OTT lite Cobra table lamp) gives you almost good lighting as the white interior of the box helps to balance theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Difficult to say
