Dangerous product suitable for workshop and shop

This is a dangerous product. They sent me a device that just a day later started leaking gas around the calibration seam and bolts. At first I thought I just overfilled the tank, so I drained the gallon. The next day, the seepage and the associated fumes intensified. This is a fire hazard and the product should not be sold in Revain.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Not safe

Brand new tank leaking and not as expected

Looked good on arrival but when first filling the tank the seal around the full/empty gauge leaked, only 3.5 gallons in a 12 gallon Tank. Even with the vent open, the tank continues to swell and build up pressure. Gasoline throughout the boat, cannot be stored in garage, concerned about gas quality due to contamination.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Appearance

Seal that measures fuel cannot handle gas.

I'm very disappointed that I bought **2** of these containers, so I can't say that the one I had was defective. So I took her to Mexico with fuel and a gasket melted empty to full and gas was everywhere, I drove 4 hours and with gas leaking. SMH I dropped gas cylinders down the drain in Mexico for $87 each.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • High price

Nice storage tank but understand what you are buying here!

I bought this tank to at least be good backup storage if the power goes out to run my generators. For 12 liters. right size. Light enough to move or lift by hand. HOWEVER it will leak under the gas gauge where the red cap is supposed to protect the BOOTS fuel line threads. Guess what? A hose is connected to the gas level float. It acts like a straw in a fizzy drink, where your drink travels up the straw and everywhere. I used a 1" 1/2" screw (20 threads per inch) to close this hole. No more…

Significant first time leaking throughout the boat

Did this review because it leaked not just a little and not just under pressure or in the sun we had trouble figuring out how to install it to to stop escaping gas flow. Neither depressurizing nor opening the cap stopped it, very irresponsible to have such a large leak around the gauge, not sure if this tank ever passed a quality check. The boat leaked a significant amount of water which we had to dry while it kept flowing! Shorten our journey at first use. We were lucky that there was a second

1 Star for EPA Tools and Equipment

I keep coming across products that follow the incredibly stupid new EPA guidelines. For example, last month I bought a new gas bottle and due to the lack of intake air and a very limited and difficult to operate spout, half of the gas ended up in the lake. This is another example of people who shouldn't do even the slightest test in the real world. At first I had tightened one of the fuel line parts, but not tight enough for the gas to start leaking out. I noticed this before having any more…

Leak day 1. Gas filled truck and clothing

If I could I wouldn't give a star. I finally filled the tank yesterday, 2 days after I was able to return the goods, I just found out. It's dripping heavily from the fuel gauge. He filled the entire platform of my truck with gas as well as my tools/equipment/job supplies. I had to drive about 80 miles with this leaking tank in my truck since I wasn't home. The leak was so bad that gasoline spilled out the back door onto the street, very dangerous. If there was a spark or someone threw a…

Have fun shopping! for workshop and shop

I bought this tank for our pontoon boat. The 12 gallon capacity is large compared to the standard 6, which requires constant refilling. The only issue I had was the EPA gas cap. As everyone already knows, these tanks create pressure on the sun. I tried the traditional lid and left the vent open all the time, but was definitely losing fuel to evaporation and worried about rainwater getting in, so I went back to the evaporative lid. Well the weak link in the system in terms of pressure build up…
