Schlage F40 LAT 716 Latitude Review

I just moved into an old house and ALL the interior door handles have failed for various reasons. One day my daughter came home from school and was so excited that she could hardly open and close the door. We've been using them for over a month now with no problems.

Very good product at a very good price. Ease of installation. Looks good. It feels like it has to go on. It locks easily and opens from the outside with the included small tool, which is good if you have small children or grandchildren. Delivery was quick. No questions or negative comments.

These levers are very cool. I love the finish and feel of them compared to most polished door handles. The only complaint is that the privacy lever, specifically on the lock side, makes a quarter turn before engaging the mechanism. I don't know how else to explain it, but it seems strange to me. I suspect it has something to do with the locking part of the lever, but it's still a bit annoying. And for people like me who hate when doorknobs play. This lever is damn good.
