I love going outside with my 15 year old cat so she can sunbathe. This harness/leash keeps him right where I need him (not behind thorny bushes or a block away from me). The only odd thing I've noticed is that it calms him down. When I put my seat belt on it gets very quiet. I wonder if this is normal in cats?

All my cats that can wear a harness (4) did better than other harnesses we've tried. My small cat (12lbs) was able to move her leg while carrying it, but my larger cats (16lbs+) didn't have this problem. One of my boys liked him more than the others and often took him outside. It has a tight fitting system so finding a fit was a bit difficult for large cats, but when I got it it was great.

Generally excellent! It's still a bit big for my 9 month old kitten (she needs to grow as she's still small), she's usable and doesn't let her slip off the harness like other harness options. We're still training her to wear the harness, but one day she seems to like it. I swapped out the leash for a bungee leash that I've had since my girlfriend was jumping outside. Will definitely buy more if needed.

I bought this for my 1 year old cat who wanted to go outside. The quality was excellent and it's very well made, but the size isn't adjustable much. I bought a small one as the XS weighed up to 10lbs. My cat was 10.5 pounds and I knew she was going to grow. The little one comes towards him like in the photo, but when he wants to stop or is afraid of something, he steps right out of it all. For safety reasons, we decided not to use it until he gained about 3 pounds more.

I like the position of the harness clips. You don't rub your feet while walking. Anyone who has walked the cat will quickly realize that you are in control of where they choose to go. Yes, I have put a harness on my cat. and it works! We have a fairly large cat that is dying to go outside but won't come back. I figured if it didn't work it wouldn't be a huge loss at such a cheap price. It took a few tries to get him comfortable in his new harness (because it's a cat), but it allowed me to take him outside to inspect the yard. He seemed as comfortable as one would expect a cat to be in a harness, and he did not resist subsequent attempts to harness him. It worked surprisingly

Mention of this product as "Free Escape" is not accurate. I would call it false advertising. So it's a "rugged" vest in the sense that it fits my car well and is snug. BUT that's anything but "free run" when, for example, your cat has crawled under a floor or car and you want to get her out. I have to step back or stand up and phew, it's slipping. So don't try to pull your cat towards you if she's looking at you the way she would if cornered. And I can't return it as it has been used. 🦹🏻‍♂️
