Fixed my buzz! for car electronics accessories

After first purchasing from Kicker LLC over a year ago I have spent several months trying to figure out why the horrible generator hum was coming out of my speakers for the first 4 minutes after start up. I tried all sorts of soldering tricks, but it turned out to be just a terrible LLC. This scosche eliminates the hum in no time! Now a super clean signal.

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • slightly crumpled

They completely suck the bass out of your speakers

As mentioned in another review they suffer from design choices where the transformers used start pumping out the bass quite heavily at around 120Hz. If you intend to use them to convert the output for subwoofers, DO NOT. They're great for doors and highs if you don't expect a boomy sound from them. I repeat, do NOT use them for subwoofers, you will regret it.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Simply 5 stars best in Amplifier Connection Kits

I bought this for home cinema. It's easier to convert an amplified signal to line than to buy a brand new receiver with preamp outputs. I have bought several line level converters from Amazon and this is the only one that does not clip in the converter itself and also the only one that is low noise. There will be noise as you turn up the gain in all gain stages, but it's hard to tell which device is causing it. Overall 10/10, I saved $500.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Works fine in amp harnesses

I bought a car with no preamp connector. (Alpine ilx-w650) and wanted to run a sub-amp. In short, I chose the cheapest (this one). The system hums without complaint. Amplifier Jl w3v2-10 Alpine 500W. Remember I lost my patience and added both positives and negatives from the LOC to the appropriate speaker wiring on the deck. You will surely have a better sound than me!

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Ideal for Ikea/Sonos Symfonisk Bookshelf Subwoofer "Hack ".

I am using this to convert the high level speaker output of a larger speaker amp to line level in an Ikea Symfonisk bookshelf speaker. I connected both negative inputs to the negative output of the mini amp and both positive inputs to the positive output and turned this adapter into a splitter. One RCA output goes to my subwoofer (an older Klipsch SW-350) and the other RCA output goes to a mini amp driving a bass shaker attached to my couch. If you want to do the same, this high-level converter

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Worked great for my purposes.

I installed a radio in a Jeep Wrangler TJ and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new head unit as they are often stolen from these cars. The old head unit only had one set of RCA outputs which I wanted to use for a subwoofer but still wanted to connect the RCA to a small 4 channel amp so I used the old Kicker KISLOC and one of these. Kicker KISLOC seemed to exacerbate my oscillator whistling problem (fixed by changing the ground) so I replaced the RCA to test this one and the noise was…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great for hacking SONOS

I have a SONOS Connect:AMP that I'd like to hook up to a 1990's Sony stereo receiver because I'm stupid. This is a bit wasteful because SONOS Connect:AMP has a built in amplifier and instead of a line out it has a speaker out. Instead, I have to buy a SONOS connector to connect to my stereo, but it's expensive and hard to find, and I already have Connect:AMP. So this little key does the magic for me. On the SONOS side, it connects to the speaker jacks. Then it connects to the TAPE line-in on…

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Not bad

Does what it's designed for but could do better

I bought this isolator because I needed a way to use one amp to drive another as I didn't have a "pre outs" kit . no technical information about this device on the internet or anywhere else, and of course nothing about its specifications. At the heart of this device is the TY-145P audio converter, which has a published specification of 200Hz to 15kHz. Of course, I'd like to know what's ahead of the curve. With my test equipment I made some measurements that I will share with others. Testing…
