Essential for any type of painting

I paint quite a bit, my family owns a rental property and I enjoy my projects so I have to say this tape works great. I usually use a general purpose blue masking tape at home, which works well, but for this project I needed more than just good. I was repainting my car's side panels and I needed something that cuts really sharp lines so I decided to give this brand a shot. The tape laid well and evenly, didn't come open on its own, the color didn't run, it came off cleanly with no tears. This…

Waste of money and time - do not use on walls and wooden products!

Doesn't stick to walls even after 3 presses every 5 minutes! I used regular Scotch Blue tape for the top edge of the crown molding and after three days it was still holding up well. I applied lines of ScotchBlue Sgarp for the bottom border and in under 15 minutes it was falling apart despite pressure hoping it would stick. This tape can work for certain purposes, but for painting walls or woodwork, stay away! It's literally useless and deserves a zero star rating if it ever existed! I gave it 5

Disappointed: Building materials

I have an old roll of "original" blue 3M tape (#2090) that I've just used to mask rubber tires when painting white lettering have used. It stuck perfectly with no leakage. I then put a protective sheet of brown paper over it with this tape and it doesn't stick to the brown paper or the tire. I don't know if they changed the formula or something, but I definitely wouldn't trust it to make a 'sharp line' on anything. The Multisurface is also a complete lie. Avoid and see if you can find the…

Suitable for Moldings and Moldings

I have used four rolls of this tape before and have generally had excellent results with minimal leakage. I've noticed that bleeding occurs where I haven't pressed the edge of the tape or if I've skipped a section and taped right before painting. Here, too, seepage is very low. I think the tape needs to stay on the surface for a while to create a decent seal. I usually record a day or two before painting. I also use Sherwin Williams paint which can help minimize bleeding. I am not sure. The…
