I bought this mask for freediving and water rescue. After a week of daily freshwater use on shallow water dives to depths of 25ft, it has proven to be excellent. I have used goggles and much more expensive goggles at the same depth and this goggle is in my gear bag and I will most likely get another one as a backup. Backup/credit/proof that it expires. Visibility was excellent, the low volume design worked well and it stayed in place for a quick entry. I look forward to trying it in salt water.

Excellent value for money but it takes time to get to know the mask. Fits can be difficult to find or unexpected. Once the fit is found, take the time to reassure yourself before each dive. If you have a good fit the mask is explosion proof, I've been through the waves with it. But if that doesn't work for you, the low volume means the mask fills up very quickly, which is frustrating. This is our second purchase of this mask. The first was for our then 11 year old, which he used for a vacation to Spanish Wells, Bahamas last year. It worked so well we bought another one for her little sister. I find it very similar to my favorite Omer Bandit. While the build isn't the same as the Omer or Scuba Pro (I also use the Scout regularly) this is a great mask for the price. I bought this mask to replace my main mask and was attracted to it by its small size and low price. After using it a few times I'm just amazed. Essentially a replica of the Mares Star mask. I also have a Mares Star mask. In fact, I like this mask more than the Mares version. Silicone just feels a little better. The frame is glossy rather than matte like the Mares, but overall the fit and finish feels as good or better in my opinion.
