Fantastic medium for high nitrate/nitrite levels

I purchased this medium to help reduce nitrate and nitrite in my aquarium and after a few days (less than a week) I noticed a dramatic improvement. The pebbles are small and porous and the product as a whole is very comfortable to use. The only downside is that you cannot use this product if you have a filter that lets a lot of water through. The label states that the water must flow slowly for the product to be effective. It's a great product for me and I will continue to use it.

It actually works

I've been struggling with nitrates in my 75 gallon tank for over a month now with no success. I was about to lose my mind because the nitrates were around 80ppm and I was losing fish almost daily. Last weekend I cleaned the external filter, put in half a liter of denitrate and did an 80% water change. I've now lost 3 fish due to the permanent damage already being done, but now a week later my nitrates are halved and all the remaining fish are fine. This product was a lifesaver! I made the…

Seems to be OK; may work best for a moderate increase in nitrates.

I have had problems with my aquarium and high nitrate levels (range 80-120+ppm - the recommended level in the aquarium should be 40ppm). Despite frequent (weekly bi-weekly) 20-25% water changes, limited lighting and feeding the fish, my nitrate level would not go down. I bought Denitrate based on reviews and a description that said it helps lower nitrate levels. Unfortunately I didn't notice a big difference in nitrate levels before and now. It REALLY helped make my water very smooth and…

Nitrates now = zero

I have used this in combination with Prodibio Bio Digest bacteria in two reservoirs, one with nitrates at around 10ppm and the other at around 30. I have an ampoule Bacteria used per 25 gallon tank and two ampoules in a 90 gallon tank. I added a little Seachem Denitrate to each of the four canister filters to give the bacteria a good place to grow (in a bowl of each canister filter and in a dark bag in the back corners of each tank near the canister inlet pipes). with weak current). The dark…
