    This timer is great for my elementary school kids!

    I bought this device because it is similar to the product mentioned on the parent blog and is actually very similar to the timer we used in grad school to practice 20 minute research paper presentations. My kids use it all the time, sometimes "really" to count down 60 minutes of reading.     Handy timer for timers

    This timer works great. It's large enough to be easily found around the house and fits nicely on a desk or a desk with a stand at the back. It's easy to use, although the only improvement is that you don't have to turn the dial back to 55 minutes and then back to the number of minutes you want. That's the only thing that's a bit annoying since you have to remind your kids when they use it.     Very kid friendly timer - love it

    Purchased to teach our 3-4 year old to finish or start an activity at a specific time. Someone else mentioned the ticking - it didn't bother me, it's not loud.     I wasn't expecting to leave a long review for what seemed a simple little timer but we LOVE this timer. It was a game changer for our family.     Great optics and accuracy! Tricky in operation.

    The timer is accurate, the display is large and practical. I suspect most people buy this timer for exactly these reasons. However, this timer is delicate. Make sure you only turn the dial in one direction. If you miss your time, turn the dial back a few minutes and the bell may not ring at the end.     This thing is not small. About the diameter of a soup bowl. It's probably in the description somewhere, I just missed it.     I was very happy with this timer. I work from home 2 days a week and my 4 year old struggles with the realization that I have to work longer hours (as opposed to 5 minutes at a time).
