Easy install and adjustment

Easy to install and adjust the depth depending on door thickness. I installed on a shed with 2x4 frame plus T1-11 sheeting (door roughly 2 inches thick).Overall, the quality seems good. However, I do think if someone really wanted to get it, they could bypass this without too much trouble, but should keep honest people honest. If you are looking for more security, I would look into something else.

Pros
  • Excellent item, good construction, no sharp edges, quality paint.
Cons
  • Cheaply made for the moneyJunk will probably break within the return time

Installation instructions are lacking

Ad indicates and photo shows three keys but I received only two and only one of them works; installation instructions say to drill 3/8" hole but 7/16" works much better; instructions don't indicate installation requires a 3/4" x 1/8" countersink in order for the handle to fit flush; I discovered that after I'd already drilled the hole, making it much harder to drill the countersink; for some unexplained reason the handle opens by turning either up or down rather than just 90 degrees down as the

Pros
  • Used this to replace our shed handle. Worked fantastic.
Cons
  • Its very tight to turn once mounted.

Missing parts good for me

Missing the small threaded piece to secure the Inside D handle to rod on outside T handle. Had to find a random bolt to barely fit.

Pros
  • Just what I need, fit perfectly.
Cons
  • The lock set is relatively expensive compared to other options on the market, making it less accessible to budget-conscious buyers

Looked in the questions section and someone said the hole spacing was 1.75 inches but that is incorrect they are 1.5 inches. As I am replacing an existing handle, the holes don't match and I have to return. That said it looks like a sturdy product.

Pros
  • Worked perfectly for my Triton snowmobile trailer front hatch
Cons
  • Tension nut breaks off as soon as you try to tighten it down.

Mount is not flush!

You'll need to countersink the barrel under the mount about, which means you need a 3/4" drill bit. The hole for the barrel you will need is about 1/2" depth. Other latches I've seen are flush and don't need this modification.just predrill two holes for the wood screws and one for the shaft.that is it. This latch's mechanism is stiff and lock and keys feel cheap. It's not worth the trouble to return it, but I'll keep it for spare parts.

Pros
  • These fit most shed doors, but not all.
Cons
  • The 4-1/2" size of the T handle could be too large or bulky for some users

Does what it's supposed to

Install was easy, and the handle worked the way it needed to. Had to use this handle in a nontraditional install, with a door that opens in. Had to make a plate on the inside to ensure function, but the adjustability of the unit made it work fine. Perfect for an outbuilding.

Pros
  • Just buy it a if you need it.
Cons
  • The product may not be compatible with all types of sheds, gates, or barns, limiting its usefulness for some consumers
