Works great and fits 285/75/16

They fit 285/75/R16 Falken Wildpeaks perfectly. I still have a few adjusting links in both directions. I have a type of cam that is definitely good, but I still recommend buying some kind of tensioner. I wouldn't be very comfortable riding without my bungee cords.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

They fit my Jeep's 33 " x 12.50 R15 tires.

They fit my Jeep Wrangler TJ's 33" x 12.50 R15 tires well. I bought them primarily to comply with CA DOT chain control laws, but they're more likely to go down the road before I ever have to use them. Better to have and not need than vice versa.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small house
Cons
  • Compatibility

Easy Fit: Tires and Wheels

I wanted to make sure they would fit before I go moose hunting in December. It only took me about a minute to put them on and I don't have much experience putting chains on. I will see how it will be with the snow on the ground and in colder weather. 275/70R18 And the included L-shaped cam tool works fine. Now I can return the ordered one.

  • Easy Fit

Didn't fit my truck, also difficult to install

Tried fitting them to my truck when it was 10F outside. Watch the video provided. This product was about half an inch too big for my truck and they hit my wheels. A tensioner hit the sidewall of my tire when properly tightened. It also took me about 15 minutes per tire to mount, so not too much. would not recommend

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Wouldn't recommend any style of camera for most users

Fits my LT275 70-18 well. I would recommend the cameraless style for most users. Make a tension tool out of flat steel by bending it 90 degrees and then shaping it to fit the oval hole next to the locking notch. Once you pick them up for your hoop, they'll quickly hang themselves. Also, paint your homemade tool a light color as you will lose it in the snow.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • No performance

I think the size would be ok but I don't want to risk it

This set appears to be well put together. When I first got them I trimmed them to avoid the risers falling off and hitting my car. I think the size would be ok but I don't want to risk it. I was lucky enough to only use them once and they did a great job getting me out of ice and very deep snow. I inspected them after taking them off and they look perfect.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Great Tracks - Tires and Wheels

I bought these tracks for my 2000 Ford Excursion 285/75-16. You were perfect. I had a trip planned to northern Montana and didn't want to worry about getting stuck. The cam tool is long and strong, making it easier to tension chains. I used them before the trip and drew the links so I know exactly where they should be when connected. They rust, but that's what happens to metal on snow and ice. The bag is quite heavy and I still use it to store my chains. I used a chain bungee or dampener to…

Pros
  • Durable Test Results
Cons
  • Disappear

Working with rusty chains.

Yes, they are not galvanized and do not rust. That's why they're cheaper than the coated options. I will pass on the old boat owner's advice. We have the same problem with anchor chains. Go to a boat shop and buy "Zinc for Cathodic Protection". Small zinc metal rods that you attach to a propeller shaft, sterndrive, or other steel that frequently comes in contact with water. Available from 1 to 80 pounds. Throw a few pounds on every chain, wherever you store it. This won't stop the rust…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not sure

Chains for tires LT275/65-18. Too long and too wide.

LT275/65-18 tires. Too long (all cams tightened, got stuck on the first link of the next ladder), too wide (looks like the chains are banging against the rims). Various sizing charts at Peerless, Revain, and others gave conflicting information, so I called the Peerless manufacturer. Support said QG3229. I said they look too wide (and they were). But I ordered them. Big mistake. Great chains, just not the right chain for my tires. I need chains for a trip in a few days, of course it's Christmas…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine
