This is a great little Arduino compatible device.

It took some time to find the library, but as always, Google is your friend. After I added the board support it works without problems. I now use it for various projects related to I2C and SPI devices. Make sure you have USB-C for this. I'm using a micro USB to USB-C adapter.

Works as expected in about 15 minutes

I used one of these on a recent project and wanted the smallest size I could get. I don't know if it's the smallest or not but it was quite small. I was able to get it working in about 15 minutes: downloaded the latest Arduino, downloaded the drivers from the provided URL, plugged in the USB and it worked. The latest version of the Arduino IDE doesn't support them, so don't buy them thinking they're something like Arduino. The tutorials and instructions you have read are for casual users only. All you have to do is find "Arduino ide loading failed". You will see that there is a fatal bug in the Arduino IDE that prevents you from uploading board definitions for it. There are hundreds of open tickets on their site and thousands of people looking at their "solutions" but 99% of the solutions are due

Ideal! Level up for Arduino users

This lovely little MCU is perfect for anyone trying to improve their Arduino projects. The only problem is that you have to buy a pack of cheap level switches (I recommend 10pcs 4ch toggle switches) to convert all 5V signals to the 3V signals that XIAO needs. XIAO is beautiful, tiny, fast and has much more memory for long programs compared to Arduino Uno or Nano. The incredibly high clock speed makes stepper motor control much better. I LOVE this little board (YOU NEED THE RIGHT HARDWARE)

I bought a few of these because I was interested in making some compact/portable circuits. I'm not disappointed. I got it up and running in minutes and have been driving it to death for the past two weeks with no major issues so far. If it doesn't work predictably, my first suspicion would be the hardware. Kind of a lame microprocessor

I bought three of these because they were very small and not too expensive. Because they were smaller than the Nano and faster, they looked attractive. I intended to design a fire alarm system around them, not complicated at all. But I found a few limitations of this chip.1. There is no reset button and the solder pads are very close together. Small and functional but not Linux friendly

All three that were in a set of three ran and they are fine. I've spent a lot of time trying to get it working on Linux (Mint) using the Arduino IDE with (almost) no success. I've tried flashing them about a dozen times and it only worked once. I suspect that something has been messed with the USB drivers. The only mention on the Seeed website about using Linux and the Arduino IDE for Xiao is a post on their blog that simply says "Run arduino-linux-setup.sh". I did this and it seemed to improve

Cool idea and product, but there are problems. To update.

This purchase was for a box of 3 Seeeduino XIAO Arduino compatible controllers based on the SAMD21 microcontroller. I have issues with them being unreliable when making a USB connection when using the Arduino IDE to upload a sketch to them. Even with the simple "Blink" sketch example, it works 2 or 3 times and then stops working. By shutting down the computer and restarting after the shutdown, I can get them working again (without changing the sketch) for 2-3 iterations. I use many different…

Cannot comment on many of the product features as I have yet to do anything other than the flashing sketch to make sure they work with the Arduino and are functional, all 3 did! As I mentioned in the title, this product has many advantages: Price: $21.99 for 3 of these. Approximately (rounded up from $7.3) $8 for a controller!
