80's vintage comfort saddle

Okay, the name can be misleading. This saddle is in the style of the original version sold in the 80's and may NOT be the most comfortable saddle (compared to modern or more expensive saddles). but i have many km on mine with no problems. This is the headquarters. Looks great on my vintage Serotta and Specialized bikes (the vintage version of this saddle was OE). Would highly recommend this for any vintage 80's restoration project!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Useless features

Vintage Fun: Seats and Saddles

I rode my Super Record equipped '86 Guerciotti in an original Turbo saddle. After wearing out this saddle, I've always complained about how the more modern saddle looked on my vintage steel horse. Now I have that vintage look again. While it's not a replica (the original had chrome roof rails), it's light enough for my well-trained step not to snag a 20-mile ride. I have it in an old Schwinn fixed gear that rarely goes more than 20 miles at a time, so it's perfect for me. Unfortunately, the Turbo logo on the side of the saddle is starting to rub against my foot when I rub it while riding. Not even from jeans, but from bicycles. A bit disappointed that the logo doesn't last more than a few…

Super comfy Brown not brown

I'm not surprised that this is a comfortable saddle. If you prefer a round profile with an anatomical fit, this is for you. The materials in this new version are excellent. The attenuation density has improved (I have older ones for comparison). The nubuck leather in the "brown" version is excellent and keeps your bottom where you want it on the saddle. So why 4 stars? While the materials and fit are excellent, most buyers of a brown saddle want it to match their color scheme. photos are…
