Overall: While I'm a bit disappointed in some aspects of this product, I'm glad I bought two of these. What I like: Great sound. Summary: I thought they were perfect for docking a boat. I really wish they would work and with less than 4 lanes they would probably be great. I liked that you can hear both the intercom and background noise. It was comfortable for the short time we tried to use them. Very finicky and unreliable in 4-way mode. In my opinion this headset is one of the best on the market. It does everything you want and more. Unfortunately the design is not perfect. I really wanted to be able to give 5 stars. If you want something with cutting-edge technology, you won't find a better price. In 2013, I purchased a pair of Sena SPH 10 headphones from Revain so that my wife and I could communicate during docking maneuvers on our 40-foot motorboat. Before the Sena we had two versions of the Eartec that still worked great after 7 and 10 years when they were replaced. Sena was perfect for our purpose. They are lightweight and easy to use.
