Unfortunately, you'll have to lower the bitrate to DVD sound quality if you want to use this feature, as Micro-USB is used and the standard doesn't support the bandwidth required for 7.1 at higher bitrates. Initial review: I've currently paired this with a GSP 600 and it sounds better than any gaming headset I've tried with this combination of sound card and headset. . Worse than the HyperX Cloud II, for example, I would only say that the 7.1 surround sound is very good down to the last detail. The only issue I had with this unit that ultimately caused me to return it was the terrible compression and noise filters on the mic that couldn't be turned off.
