I really wanted the nail protectors to work but they are too fragile. They were easy to apply and looked amazing, I had such high hopes but 4 days after applying I had already glued 5 of them down with nail glue because I didn't have time to repaint my nails. They slipped off easier than the nail tips, thankfully they held their shape. I will continue to use SensatioNail gel but will resort to cotton and foil removal and not use nail protector.

I like this product. I've used it twice so far and can't complain. Soaking the paint takes forever. This product flakes off instantly. So much time saved! Now it creases a bit when applied, but if you apply enough polish you won't even notice it. Speaking of less work. I heard there is a top coat that doesn't need to be cleaned after curing. I have used another brand of nail guards but decided to try these because they are cheaper and you get more. I put them on before putting on fake nails and yes it works. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they didn't damage my natural nails as my nails didn't even last 24 hours. Within 12 hours I had 2. I kept putting them on until I just got sick of them and by the 4th day I had them off. I'll go back to the brand I used.

The trick to getting it right is to choose a shield smaller than a nail. You don't want the screen to fill the entire nail. My little fingernails are very narrow so I used a razor to trim the sides of the shield. The second tip is to cut the shields short as well. Don't let them extend past the tip of your nails so you can file them as instructed. Don't let the guard be the exact width and length of your nail and you'll be fine. I wore these under foil and UV gel polish for 5 days. I've washed pots and pans, rinsed kitchen countertops and showered a few times and they're holding up great. I am very happy with how well they hold on my nails. They're difficult to peel off and require some patience to apply, but I just use my rubber nail pusher to smooth them out.
