Product review best in my review

This is my second purchase of the OUII Sous Vide bags. I find them very reliable and a great choice. I find that I average about 6 uses per bag. And hint: If the may be advisable to flex the vacuum suction area of the bag prior to using the pump.

Pros
  • Home & Kitchen
Cons
  • The bags may not be as airtight as advertised, allowing food to spoil quickly

Vacuum Bags for my opinion

I gave 4 starts on ease of use, this is an excellent product! It takes a minute to learn to remove the air from the bag! Quality Bags

Pros
  • Freezer-safe for long-term storage
Cons
  • The bags may have a plastic taste that affects the flavor of the food stored inside

Works as advertised

Bags work as advertised and are very easy to use. These bags are much better than trying to seal a regular zip-lock bag. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Can be reused for other household purposes (i.e. organizing small items
Cons
  • The bags may be difficult to clean or sterilize properly, leading to contamination or foodborne illness

Simple to use, sturdy bags, clips were a surprise

The bag vacuum is easy to use and pulls a decent vacuum with just a few pumps. I didn't know bag clips were coming with it, maybe it was in the description and I missed it, but it was still a nice surprise. I'd like to say the food tasted as good as it did because of the bags, but to be fair, that was probably my wife's doing, she's a great cook.

Pros
  • Husband loves it!
Cons
  • Bags are good… the design and function of the " suction" does not work at all.

Makes sous vide so easy!

I was an early adopter of sous vide, but have always struggled with how to seal my food for the process. My Foodsaver is big and bulky, has trouble if there are any liquids, and the bags are expensive. I've never been able to get the method where you put the food in a ziploc and push the air out with water to work properly. This is a fantastic addition to my sous vide routine, because the bags are reusable and it's much easier to control the sealing process. Highly recommended!

Pros
  • You Can Sous Vide Too! OUII sous vide bags refill kit is the simplest way to juicy, flavorful steaks, seafood, and veggies right from your own kitchen. Whether you’re a newbie or a pro, OUII sous vide bags are here to help you. Why invest in bulky machines when you don’t have to?
Cons
  • The bags may not hold up to high temperatures, making them unsuitable for certain cooking methods

Vacuum seal bags change the Sous Vide game

I love my new sous vide, but wasn't keen on single use plastics (zipper bags or vacuum sealed) so these are the first ones I tried that are reusable. Super easy to use after you get the hang of "moderate pressure" on the vacuum port. I can see that they might not be super easy to keep clean, but I'll take that inconvenience over single use plastic. All in all, I'm happy with this bag kit.

Pros
  • Great for portion control and meal planning
Cons
  • The bags may not work well for hot liquids, causing them to leak or break open during cooking

NO Liquids! for my opinion

Second half of my review: Although I will not be using these bags for sous vide due to the fact that liquids cannot be used with the handpump, I have upgraded the review stars because the product is fine for dry products (just not what I do most of) and mostly because the company has been FABULOUS! I did not ask for a refund, but they offered one anyway. I purchased this product to use in my sous vide process. Although some items do go into a sous vide totally dry most include some oils…

Pros
  • Can be used for marinating meats and vegetables
Cons
  • The bags may develop mold or mildew after prolonged use or improper cleaning

Works acceptably - my new review

These are good enough. They don't get the very last bit of air out but that does not seem to affect the cooking. I like that I can reuse them after a good washing. Makes for less plastic waste. Also a lot less expensive than a machine to do the job. Have to be very careful when extracting air if the bag has a lot of liquid but that is also manageable.

Pros
  • These work great!! We have tried another brand and really like this one.
Cons
  • The bags may not work properly with certain vacuum sealer machines, causing frustration and wasted time

Sous Vide is new to me.

I thought I'd give it a chance and it worked great. The bags are sturdy. After use, I placed them in soapy water with a touch of bleach just to make sure I killed any bacteria that could form. I will use them again and again. Good buy!

Pros
  • Free of harmful plasticizers and phthalates
Cons
  • The bags may not be as large as advertised, making it difficult to store larger food items

Better off with a vacuum sealer

Pump is hard to use; More of a learning curve to get the pump to work well than I wanted. Still don’t have it down and I have had it for a long time. Leaks; Has not kept 100% of the water out of the bag anytime cooking when fully submerged. I suppose if the pump on the bag was not submerged, it would be fine, but sometimes (most of the time in my case) that is not possible with the positioning of the of bag relevant to where the suction pump is. I had to invest in a vacuum sealer and will never

Pros
  • Versatile sizes accommodate both small and large portions
Cons
  • The bags may not be as eco-friendly as advertised, since they are still made of plastic

Bought this kit for the bags

I already had a sous vide kit (pump, bags, clips) and needed more bags and found this kit. Same brand as my previous kit but this one with a slightly smaller pump that I gave away.I liked the 4 sizes of bags in this kit as I use them for vacuum-storing things in addition t sous video cooking. These bags feel a bit thinner than the last batch I had but they don't last forever so maybe that doesn't matter. I'll be buying more someday again, probably.

Pros
  • Can be easily labeled for organized meal prep
Cons
  • The bags may not fit well in all types of vacuum sealer machines, leading to wasted bags

Great bags for sous vide cooking

Made some fish for fish tacos a few nights ago and the bag worked great! Easy to get use the vacuum, cleaned easily, and easy to seal. Haven't used to freeze anything yet, but will be doing that soon.

Pros
  • Reduces plastic waste in the environment
Cons
  • The bags may not be as versatile as advertised, making them unsuitable for a wide range of foods or cooking methods

Mine were defective

I must have had a bad batch, but my bags did NOT deflate/vacuum seal. I even used a vacuum cleaner hose to suck the air out and it did nothing. I see plenty of other people using it successfully so maybe it was me or just the ones I got, but imine didn't work.

Pros
  • Can be used for storing non-food items as well (i.e. small toys
Cons
  • The bags may not be completely safe for use with all types of foods, especially those with high acidity

Easy to use, just dont force it.

Great bags, the seal was really good and the vacuum valve was done well. Definitely DONT put too much pressure on the bag when pumping it or else you wont get any air out and DONT yank on the pump handle too fast. After a couple bags i got a hang of it and it works very well if youre a patient person.

Pros
  • Creates an airtight seal without needing a vacuum sealer
Cons
  • The bags may not be as airtight as claimed, leading to freezer burn, mold, or other spoilage
