Sewer Cleanout Relief Valve for Efficient Popper Functionality Review

We have a tree between our house and the curb blocking the drain. We happened to have a ventilation outlet on an underground pipe between the house and the tree. This little retractable safety valve works great when the rain is very heavy to keep water from our house from being spilled across the lawn.

It took several days to call a plumber, but I immediately ordered and installed this safety valve. We limited the water intake but still managed to overfill the valve and it did its job. They never seem to show photos of this peak and it never occurred to me that it is always upside down. I think I should have paid attention to the threads. When installed they are smooth on top and look very pretty. It consists of two parts with a float inside and the cap is tapered so the cap fits snugly in the fitting and keeps smelly gas out.
