Works great overall

Just purchased this. Set up was simple, the remote is super-straightforward. Works as advertised. My only issue is that my television remote and the switcher remote control appear to use the same IR signal for things. Does exactly what it says.

Picked the 5 switcher due to my wife being more than just a PC user. while she has her pc in the corner, she enjoys different games on the different consoles and prior to this purchase, our TV only had 3 HDMI ports on the rear.Now that we have the switcher, we have all consoles plugged in; plus a free port once i get around to fixing up the HTPC. the fact that it is capable of 4k @ 60fps was the other selling point for me. while none of the console versions we have are 4k enabled, the HTPC will

Yes the title's is loaded but when I was looking for a good switcher, I really wish more people mentioned more, then "Works Great." Red LED is like a death ray

I just got this thing and set it up today. Functionally this HDMI switch is great. I have not used it much yet but so far, so good. I previously had a cheaper switch that I got from Monoprice years ago which worked ok but this is definitely better. Looks and sounds great and switches with ease. This arrived in perfect condition, packed well for shipping. Worked right out of the box. The remote works like it should. The only bad thing I have to say is that the lights, one power red and one green marker which shows which channel you are on, are very, very bright. They are on the front of the box so you can't turn them around to face the wall. Simple fix, I use a couple of layers of painters tape, the blue tape that doesn't mar.
