Worked great: Car

Worked great on my rear wheel drive car. The first time it took less than 10 minutes than the next time. I've used them 5 times with 60 miles and after washing they still look like new. I would recommend only using them for city breaks. If you're driving on the Autobahn, spend your money on chains or spikes, as they won't get you past 50 km/h. Most of the snow I used them in was about 3 inches and my rear wheel drive car was able to climb hills without the wheels spinning and it helped with…

Works better than expected.

Helped me through a snow storm today. They worked as expected. The amount of traction I got from them alone was phenomenal. My car held and handled 100% better. It didn't even take me 5 minutes to put them on wheels. I recommend bringing a set of work gloves as you will get your hands dirty. They come with plastic gloves but a good cheap set of work gloves would be better. As others say, you don't drive them on bare tarmac. To be honest though they turn on and off on the fly in a pinch.

Saved the day but for single use only.

They worked, but they really are meant to be used once or twice. These socks were too small for my wheels despite using the size chart provided. We hit a white puddle going uphill and these things saved the day! If you pull hard on a sock to put it on, it rips at the seam, which is really the only reason it fits. The other one went halfway and I rode it for a bit and surprisingly it held up. They aren't very durable but saved my ass! When we got to our destination I bought some tire cables so I

IT WORKS GREAT and VERY EASY to install and remove

WOW what an AMAZING INVENTION! I had front wheel drive maintenance in Colorado in heavy snow. They are SUPER easy to install, takes about 5 minutes. really very easy. If you can wear your own socks, you can wear these too! I couldn't climb the incline without them but once they were on NO PROBLEM. covered, and if you drive on dry pavement sections (as is the case in a city where some streets are cleared), they will wear out. However, they work so well in the snow and are so easy to put on and…

Good on snow and ice with some caveats.

These snow socks work very well under the following conditions: - All the roads you drive on are covered with solid snow and ice, and part of your ride is not covered with snow or ice. This works very well in areas like a ski resort where there is snow and ice everywhere and there is no bare asphalt.- The snow is no higher than your vehicle's ground clearance. These snow socks will not work under the following conditions: - On roads full of melting mud. Mud and water will soak into your socks…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Works great in the snow.

I finally found myself in a situation where I needed these snow socks. An icy road with slow traffic and a fresh layer of snow from last night. They were pretty easy to put on and I was able to put them on in about 5 minutes. I've tested it a few times by going 10-15mph downhill and then stepping on the brakes. They worked like magic and allowed me to stop almost immediately. I was very happy with it. When I got to the main road it was a mixture of ice, mud and snow. I knew I shouldn't be…
