Vacuum cleaner was delivered on June 21st 2017 and became extinct on August 28th 2017. With less than 12 uses, nothing has happened that could cause it to stop working, except for a poor quality device. Trying to get a grip on customer service was disappointment at best. Worst of all, they force their customers to pay shipping costs to replace products that are under warranty. I cannot recommend the product or the company.

After 4 years of little use the main drive belt finally snapped. Belt replacement should be mandatory for any vacuum cleaner. On the Shark NV501, access to the belt is extremely difficult, there are several hidden screws (under the wheels, in deep holes), and when they're all unscrewed, the lower unit destabilizes and various parts separate, including the electrical wiring.
