Works well on Rough Plumbing

I'm taking off a star because the tubes tend to buckle when bent. If you have limited clearance I would go with the stainless steel which flexes better. In addition, easy installation, no leakage.

Pros
  • Handy Thing
Cons
  • There are nuances

The easiest way to install, but at a high price

The easiest way to connect a water softener. Not the cheapest, but the easiest. That's the only reason why the price-performance ratio is average. False bites are too expensive, but very convenient. There are places where they are the best choice while others are not worth the cost. This is a good place to use them, but it's wiser to go for the cheaper options. i was just being lazy

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Some mistakes

Great product to get the job done.

Used this to install my new water softener. After my old system failed I decided to move the entire system back to the utility room and get some shark bite items to complete the project. These connections worked great with my new system and it was so easy to get them working. I would recommend them if you were on the fence. Excellent product, sent quickly.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good Product - Rough Plumbing

Quality Plumbing. Installation is easy. Just be sure to polish the pipe if it's corroded and remove any burrs. However, if you need to remove the hose afterwards, you will need a disassembly tool. The cheap little unlocking tools you find at hardware stores are useless. I had to delete mine after a temporary install. Squeezing the tool and pulling on the hose without destroying the pipes attached to it was no easy task. I managed to do it without any leaks though.

Pros
  • Best in its Niche
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Hard work made easy

I bought these to install a new water softener. I used a rigid pipe cutter, deburred the inside of the pipe, cleaned the outside of the copper pipe, and they stood up straight away and worked great - no leaks. Now with that said would I use these shark bite type hardware in the wall? Probably not, simply because the o-ring will break over time and I find it useful to visually inspect these types of fittings over time.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Secret

I love these gadgets.

First time using "Shark" connectors. Very easy to install. They tell you the distance on the pipe they need to be installed. I marked that distance on the pipe and they weren't installed that far.? (It was close.) Because I installed 2 and they each set the same spacing and didn't leak, I called it good. My connections are easy to make when problems arise. Anyway I will use Sharkbite again. (They cost more so I wouldn't want to build a house with them, but they're great for small repairs!)

  • Amazing
Cons
  • Doubtful

Worth the price!

What's not to like about the SharkBite nozzle other than maybe the price. They are 3-4 times more expensive than copper fittings. But since you don't have to sweat in copper and you can't harness heat in some places near plastic fittings, these SharkBites fittings are lifesavers. I use it to connect my water softener's inlet/outlet valve to my copper pipes. The connections are very reliable, just be sure to clean and deburr the copper connections. Best of all, if you change your mind, you can…

  • The best

Works well in certain scenarios, no tools or skills required

This is the perfect part to add a water softener and/or iron filter to an existing 3/4 inch water system. Requires no special tools or skills and is very effective for this purpose. The flexible lines ensure a great smooth flow and there are no leaks when installed correctly. However, if you're building a new system or want something cleaner, I'd recommend the "SharkBite UC529LFA 3/4x1 FNPT Swivel Adapter" is also available on Amazon for $8 each. They require a crimp connection, so it's not for

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties
