I really like this knife holder. I can finally take the big block off my countertop. There's no room for cutlery scissors, but fortunately my drawer has enough space and I can put them directly in front of the cutter. The steak knives are a bit awkward for me to pull out, but not that bad. My fingers are ill-adapted to gripping them as they fit the block's profile. The block keeps the knife blades well insulated so you don't cut yourself and the blades don't hit other utensils, dulling them.

This was part of a larger plan to make cooking more enjoyable. This was because I was tired of putting pots and pans in the base cabinet and having to sort them out and return them every time I cooked. My steak knives match my cutlery set so I don't have to use a steak knife attachment. I have paring knives and cheese knives that go really well there. I was hesitant to purchase because I didn't know if the width of the Cutco handles would fit the steak knife slots. We have too many knives and the knife holders are too unsightly on the counter. We need something to keep our knives neatly out of sight and provide adequate security when accessing the knives. The quality of construction and possibly materials is so poor that I would not recommend anyone to buy this product.
