This is a good quality cable. I was impressed by its solid construction. I was so impressed that when it turned out to be unnecessary for my needs I decided to keep it to myself. I knew it was insurance that would last.

It took only a very short time to get this between the HDMI output on my Dell XPS-15 laptop and the DVI-D port on my Dell worked monitor 2001FP. I had to move the monitor away from the computer. It's an old work computer, so the video didn't require exceptional resolution. But I wanted a better picture than what I'm currently getting with the VGA extension cable. (VGA is all analog, so there was some ghosting when using an extender.) This is a great choice if your mobile workstation only has an HDMI port for external monitors and your monitor doesn't. Unlike some others I've used, this cable stays in place no matter how much I move my computer around.

Ensures a good connection. It is similar to other cables. I chose this one because I liked the blue accent. It cost about $1 more, but I figured I'd rather see it as a solid white or black wire, and I didn't like the red accent wire. Personal preferences cost me an extra $1.00, but I'm fine with that.
