Description of πŸͺ‘ Shepherd Hardware 9908 1-Inch Felt Gard Threaded Stem Furniture Glides, 1/4-Inch Stem Diameter, Pack of 4

Felt allows for discreet scratch-free motion over wood, tile, and laminate floors, but some applications justify attachment methods beyond traditional self-adhesive. Taupe plastic base with steel threaded stem and heavy duty beige felt underside screws into plastic threaded sockets for customized leveling. Easy to install - Pre-drill 11/32 inch diameter pilot hole 1 inch into wooden leg to securely position plastic socket before screwing in threaded base. Not intended for use on angled chair or table legs, but threaded design allows for customized leveling and height adjustment. Kit Contains (4) 1 inch round taupe plastic and heavy duty beige felt threaded bases + (4) plastic internal threaded inserts - 4 Count.

Glides best on floors in furniture glides

We have replaced the normal plastic legs on our kitchen stools with these glides. They were perfect because they screwed easily into the holes where the plastic was and they slid so easily across our hardwood kitchen floor without scratching the floor. They are not so noticeable and definitely protect against scratches. We've only had to change them every two to three years and live in our kitchen overlooking the bay.

Bought in bulk, some were open, some had missing parts

I run a furniture workshop and often use them to line cabinets, tables, etc. I buy them in bulk, 10 at a time. Each pack contains 4 legs and 4 inserts to attach the leg to the cabinet and adjust it up and down. They are a bit cheaper than what I would pay at home. The last order I received was 10 packs, 6 were opened and 1 pack was missing all 4 liners. CHECK YOUR ORDER when you receive it, make sure you have all the parts. Otherwise they do what they have to do. I will buy again.

So far, so good! (Updated)

Update 5-16-18: It's been about 4-5 months and my chair is losing 2 felts. I eat in this chair 2 times a day, so once in, once out, and that's it - twice a day. I knew they wouldn't last forever, but I was hoping for more time. My floor is smooth, 1 foot square tiles rounded to a 1/4" grout line, about 10 years old, so well worn. There really isn't anything for the felt to catch on, so I don't think there's a reason "They come off so easily. These didn't last longer than a felt stick, but cost…
