Looking for replacement for Jazzy

I bought this bag to replace Sherpa Jazzy who is 17 years old. I really like jazz more because it's lighter and softer. I will be returning this item as it feels stiff and heavy. And the handles are short. Unfortunately Jazz is out of production.

Great Backpack - Soft-Sided Carriers

This is a fantastic backpack for dogs. The straps must be threaded through the clips to carry it on your back. This is the highest quality backpack I've seen and it's a lot better than the one we bought from another manufacturer for hiking use a few years ago. We bought this for use on the plane but since the top is curved it was too short to allow our pup (mini dachshund) to roll over as required by the Transportation Security Administration.

Great backpack for air travel

Very useful as a backpack. I used it for air travel in America. A lot of people didn't even know my dog was there, which was great. The only thing I could wish for about this bag is the way it converts from a backpack to a carry-on. You must remove both straps and then reattach one. I wish there was just an extra strap to make this process easier. Otherwise I can recommend this dog carrier unreservedly.

the best so far - cats

Just made a round trip with my dog. Two flights of 2 hours and 2 flights of 8.5 hours. My dog is a 10 lb poodle mix. That would be the limit. If your pet is larger, I do not recommend this product. I wish the inner lining was of better quality, but that's something I can easily improve on. Overall I am very satisfied, the dog feels comfortable in "backpack mode" and lies very lightly on my back. The straps are good, people write bad reviews that something is missing, they don't pay attention to

Item as described

We traveled with a very long corgi. She is 8 months old, 17 pounds. and it was necessary for the entire (from beginning to end) extensible section to be comfortable. It was a little tight when worn, but once we used the retractable part it became a lot more comfortable. It fits snugly under the seat of the plane. The design of the device was well thought out except for the zipper on the retractable part. All other zippers had a safety lock, but the retractable zipper did not. Our girl is veryโ€ฆ

Used on Alaska Airline

This carrier fits my 8 lb poodle mix perfectly. It was much safer to carry the dog in a backpack than in a shoulder bag. Our dog is small enough to curl up on the bottom of the bag while sitting upright. But it was also long enough to stretch when the bag was in a horizontal position. The side mesh panels allowed the dog to see me when tucked under the seat and helped calm him down. The removable folding floor has a design flaw. It folds open in the middle so you can use it lying down orโ€ฆ

But straps. best in cats

At first something seemed to be missing. For example, we had two sockets on the belt connector. But I read the reviews and found that if you twist part of the strap sideways you can slide it through the part on the packaging. Success! This is going to be tight for our (tall/lanky) Jackauau. However, if the carrier were slightly larger, it would not be acceptable to the airline (in fact, as is, it is 1 inch larger in one dimension). I've found that airlines, now that they don't accept emotionalโ€ฆ
