    Good Shimano Brake Bleed Kit

    Brakes need to be bled to remain effective and this kit is what you need for Shimano brakes. It has everything you need to bleed the brakes yourself a few times, all in less than a trip to LBS. I like to do the maintenance I can not only to save money but if my bike is in the shop for a day or two I won't be able to ride it. Now I can bleed my brakes faster than just driving to and from the store.

    Wrong Allen key

    I would give this 5 stars for a full set but to be honest a 6mm allen key is 5.5mm is 4. I could take pics but I'm tired. I use 6 to remove the front wheel, 5 to tighten the stem cover, 4 to tighten the stem bolts. The 6 that came with this set is 5, 5 is 4. That's weird. (That's why I rated it low for "thickness" - I think it's a silly category). It worked great, delivered quickly, but why the keys? Really strange - I've never seen anything like it.

    Below average but works in an emergency

    Works with Shimano MTB brakes I managed to flush my Shimano MTB brakes 3 times before the syringes stopped working. The supplied syringes and tubing are of insanely poor quality and only last a season, even with the syringes cleaned. The parking tool is inexpensive and has lasted 4 times longer than this one. The syringes deteriorated on the rubber sections and ended up getting stuck. Wear rubber floats in the syringe and you can squirt these parts into your brakes causing braking problems.

    I feel like I bought the best option. Professional kits are insanely expensive for the budget.

    Best option for the money but damn. They really should include the 7mm wrench you see in the video, or a reasonable substitute. The €5 price increase is worth it. trying it with a tiny adjustable wrench was painful. Likewise. The job is best done with two people, although I was able to successfully complete the process on my own. I highly recommend that you go to a hardware store and buy a 7mm wrench (remember it has to fit in a limited space) before beginning this process. At Lowes, next to…

    It worked, but not very well.

    This kit worked despite some annoying flaws. First of all, this set had the worst syringe in the world! He didn't exactly move, just jerks and stopped. And had such a great elastic resistance that when you thought you had removed all the air from the hose before attaching it to the caliper, the moment you stopped pressing on the piston, it retreated and about 1.4 inches of air into the end lines - there is no easy or clean way to avoid forcing air into the caliper (I know of syringes, have been

    Ridiculously wrong -- but saves the favors

    Maybe my "Hell Wheel" is interfering with incoming components and helping in the shop. By that I don't mean that this review points to American Bleed Solutions as it can be read negatively. My copy of this bleed kit appears to have fallen victim to an unfortunate industrial fate. First, the Shimano bleeder cup wasn't bolted on properly.
