New but in funney packaging

Everything was fine, it didn't come in retail packaging and didn't have the support post that comes with Shimano cassette shifters. it was sent to the USPS mailer only. It arrived intact and looked like new.

Pros
  • Cycling
Cons
  • Only available in white

The spacers for the lower gears were not symmetrical.

the lower gear discs were not symmetrical, had to adjust the bike a little to make it run smoothly. No problems since then - already 100 km driven with a new cassette.

Pros
  • Outside
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Tough and smooth, best for cycling

I use this cassette in a 1x9 configuration. I have it with a narrow and wide Race Face 36 tooth cog and a Shimano XTR 10 Gear chain combined. (In case you're wondering, yes, the 10-speed chain works with 9-speed transmissions.) It shifts flawlessly, is very quiet and remarkably smooth. In my experience, high quality SRAM cassettes are slightly lighter but less durable than Shimano's. This XT cassette has a solid construction. I ride hard and have serious leg strength. I will take a few grams…

Pros
  • Parts & Components
Cons
  • Low repairability
