SHIMANO PD M8000 Pedal SPD Size Review

It's nice to be back after years of flogging. I wasted so much time resetting because my pedals stopped working. After putting them on mid-season, I felt that positive click that brought me back to the 737 pedals of the 1990s. After two muddy CX races, they didn't miss a beat. They click and come out great even when clogged with dirt.

Love these pedals. you are doing great work Nice solid click and click. Even clogged with mud or snow, they do well. I had a bit of an issue with wet snow because it compresses tight and the clamp can only engage halfway, but you can just take a stick and dig it out and you're good to go. It's barely big enough to mention, let alone decide whether to buy them. Overall excellent.

Love these - I have a very good road bike but the bike shop showed me that they can be used on a road bike although they are primarily designed for mountain use . Bicycle. The main advantage is that it is easier to walk in thin shoes (off the bike). Not necessarily a huge benefit indoors, but if you're stuck outdoors and need to walk a long distance, it might be. You'll have to make adjustments with an Allen key (type), but it's not that hard.

Received these pedals today and immediately installed them on my fat bike. You are perfectly adjusted. They got in and out with no problems. They are very compact compared to early SPD pedals. I've tried different types of SPD pedals and road bikes. Most of these pedals were on sale or on sale. Nice to have Shimano quality. However, they are marked "Made in Malaysia". I was pleased to find Shimano SH51 shoe clips in the box. I will update with anything interesting in the future.

The first set I bought in mid January broke after a few weeks of use Broke that I am returning for an identical set just come in mod, the pedal platform broke off during the ride both times. There is clearly a problem, but now I am told that the return window is closed. Ridiculous for a Shimano product, especially as I've replaced the Shimano XT pedals I've been using for over 20 years and am now back on my bike.

I really enjoy using the XT PD-M8000 on my cyclocross bike. I haven't used many other SPD pedals but this one does the job. In my opinion this is a very good cyclocross pedal. They are durable and easy to clean. They are adjustable so you can get the right amount of tension depending on how fast you want to unzip. If you plan on staying on the gravel grinder pedals, feel free to tighten them up. If you plan to descend a lot, reduce the tension. If someone is very concerned about weight, they…
