Works best on my Ultega in parts and components

Easy installation and no hard connections. Installed and started pedaling immediately. I installed this circuit on Ultega.

Good upgrade for chains

Huge difference from the standard chain that came with my bike. Shifting is much smoother and requires less effort to move my bike or accelerate when needed.

Pros
  • Super narrow 10 speed HG chain
Cons
  • Long shipping time

What a difference with a new chain!

I had no idea the chain could make such a difference when shifting. It's been years since I got the original chain. I figured if you clean and lube there would be no problems. I've just decided to buy a new one and it really makes a difference with layer clarity.

Pros
  • Pin Link Plate: Gray --- Roller Link Plate: Brown

Good brand, some problems changing from Ultegra chain to Tiagra

I usually get an Ultegra chain but bought it as a last resort. I don't know what's going on, but the distance seems inaccurate. The chain makes a grinding noise and doesn't match the teeth of my front cassette. And often crashes when I'm doing sprints. I oil it often and it helps a little. My cassette is fairly new (about 2 years old) so I think it's chain. I don't know if this happens often or if my cartridge just wore out quickly.

Pros
  • Type: HG --- Number of references: 116 links
Cons
  • Updates

This is Shimano's standard replacement.

To be honest I don't like Shimano chains. I have nothing against the seller or anything but if I'm buying a quality chain I want a chain lock. I need a chain to slip the hanging link into when I'm out and about and this chain doesn't provide that for me. I want to be able to repair the chain or even replace it if necessary while I'm on a long trip. I understand that the main links are theoretically weaker, but I've never had a problem with them. I break my chains when I hit obstacles, and those

Pros
  • Not 9 speed compatible
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
