Awesome rotors are the best.

I tend to have the best rotors you can get, period! I installed this rotor into a Tektro hydraulic system and put a new set of Tektro pads on it. It worked perfectly for the first two seconds without requiring any hack at all. And NO noise! I am a fat man in a city where there is almost no flat ground and the hills are very steep. I went from 160mm to 203mm with this change so it's a big difference in stopping power but this disc has definitely made me a lot more confident. I don't have any…

Huge upgrade for my Nishiki Colorado 27.5 MTB

I bought two of these to replace the stock/OEM rotors on my Nishiki MTB and was very impressed. My first real ride was on the moderate six-mile trail; Since I ended up using the rear brake more, it was easy to spot the dip from the front. There's a big noticeable difference, as there's a lot more "bite" when needed, without sacrificing good modulation width. I need to go back and use my front brake a little more to catch up/adjust the rear brake. Very happy with these Shimano XT m8000 hydraulic

Pros
  • Solid finish

Which is better, rotor or caliper upgrade?

Complete Shimano Deore/SLX/XT kits are only $60-90 front or rear, and these Ice Tech rotors are $40 each. So if you don't have a caliper of this level, why not just buy a better caliper and settle for 160mm? Of course you could. But on longer, steeper descents, these Ice Tech rotors provide a more stable feel that won't flag. I have a 56lb ebike and they help, I can feel the difference. That's why I got them. But on my regular 33lb bike it's really not necessary, I ride cross country and don't…

  • Absolutely Amazing!
