Shindaiwa A038000430 Fuel Tank 🔧 Assembly: Premium Replacement for Optimal Performance Review

Replaced the tank on an old 1995 T230 and gave it new life. The fuel lines were a little tricky as they didn't fit perfectly and were really difficult to install and remove, but it worked.

Perfectly fits my Shindaiwa edger. Recommend replacement when carburetor is replaced or leaking. The connected hoses fit together well. Mine were brittle due to age and using an ethanol fuel blend.

Fits our Shindaiwa T230X trimmer. The new lid had to be blown out with compressed air to avoid vapor lock and then it worked fine. (We work in a hot climate and it has been found that adding a small amount of oil to the gas mixture also helps prevent vapor lock.)

Removal was easy, but reinstallation took a little longer due to the new actual tank size, not because the tank had shrunk. There are square rubber grommets to help fit where the tank cutouts enter the herbivore's body. These spacers/struts also act as vibration mounts from the engine to the tank. I had to loosen all the hex bolts on the motor a bit to reinstall the tank so I could install it properly. Other than that, it was an easy install.
