2000 Johnstone 150hp lower block.

Thought I'd give up the line I bought in case I lost my other oil plugs while changing the transmission oil in the lower block.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Skimpy Manual

Worked great :)

I lost a screw in the grass. After looking for it with a magnet for an hour and a half, I decided to check on Revain. This is it, just what I needed. Arrived quickly and works great :)

Pros
  • Beautiful design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Mercury Outboard Lower Drain Plugs

I buy these whenever I change the oil in the lower block. You can buy just one gasket but I only change the oil once a year so I think it's cheap enough to change it every time.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Not bad

BUYER ATTENTION: Engine Parts

This is not a suitable replacement for P/N 79953Q04. I bought this for my 86 Mercury inline 6 because the screwdriver slot was worn out. There is a clearance issue behind the vent on these lower units. This screw has an overall length of .467" while the original screw is .360". It was not noticed during assembly, but this difference is enough that the screw head and gasket do not form a seal. I've started it twice with the underblock almost open and luckily I noticed an oil leak as I passed it.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Non-Automatic

Perfect for my Tracker ProMariner 60hp 3 cylinder engine. 1994 Approval for vent plugs. The previous owner tightened this screw so much that I couldn't loosen it. I actually sanded it more than it was and had to buy a hand wrench as my 1/2" Dewalt Impact couldn't loosen the screw (http://www.amazon.com/Lisle-29200-Hand-Impact-Tool/ dp/B0002NYDRG < looks like this but was bought from the local True Value store for $6) true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4) for changing the fluid for the lower…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Zero
