Sharp and clear Best camera lens

I've had this lens for a few weeks now and it's taken about 150 shots and I have to say it's amazing! Since the term is so relative, here is some information: I have a Canon Rebel XT with a kit lens (Canon 18-55) and a Sigma 70-300. The whale lens suited me, and I took the 70-300 lens for the zoom. The clarity of the 70-300 lens has never been better than the kit lens - it's a little blurry, if only in certain lighting conditions. The inconvenience of carrying 2 lenses, the difficulty ofโ€ฆ

Good entry-level lens

After a long and careful study of the Nikon D5000 and its 18-55mm "kit lens" zoom lens, I came to the conclusion that I needed something more powerful to use as an everyday lens and avoid frequent lens washing or worse. between critical moments when you need to be busy composing and photographing subjects from different distances. Of course the first choice was the Nikon 18-200mm, but since I saw a pretty clear difference in price I decided to use the dpreview test on this lens (the overallโ€ฆ

The Sigma 18-200mm lens can do it all!

The Sigma 18-200mm lens allowed me to skip switching between my Canon 18-55 and 70-300mm lenses (as a bonus, potential dust issues can be avoided). The main advantage is that during sporting events or band performances I can quickly capture a wide field of view (e.g. the entire band) and then a few seconds later zoom in on my son to get a close-up of him WITHOUT switching that lens back and forth. . Works very well for outdoor sports. For indoor basketball games, my shots with the Canon Digital

Really very satisfied, after some doubts after reading the reviews.

I struggled with the decision to purchase the Sigma AF 18-200 DC OS. Online sites (like dp) showed softness around the edges, especially when wide open. There has been criticism that the focus ring is easily confused with the zoom ring. There were complaints that the optical stabilization did not meet modern requirements. I bought it anyway because I was looking for a superzoom that can shoot wide and also has a decent telephoto in one lens and offers optical stabilization so those telephotosโ€ฆ

Good lens for the money

I buy a lot of products based on reviews from other users. This is also the case with this lens. I bought my Nikon D40 about 3 months ago (after 10 years of point and shoot use including my beloved Canon S2is Superzoom) with the 18-55mm kit lens, I also have a Nikon 55-200 Bought a mm VR lens. I love VR lenses, but traveling around Europe for 2 1/2 weeks has shown me that I hate changing lenses. This is inconvenient and can potentially contaminate the inside of the camera body.
