Works well with limits

This device is almost really good. Most connections work as advertised. A BIG issue is the amount of power available on the USB 3 ports. I am using an external USB DVD drive and hard drives and the external ports cannot handle the power demands. The device is delivered without a power supply unit. The DC connector exacerbates this problem - just try to find the right one. I could not find an adapter with the required 1.5mm inner diameter. They are all 1.35mm in size. So if your power needs are…

I use this on my MacBook and so far so good. I use the following connections: HDMI (monitor), Ethernet and one of the USB ports. Everything works as it should. The only downside is that I can't use the wireless keyboard/mouse dongle because the hub is too far from my seat. I'm assuming the transmitter isn't that strong in the little USB bulge. I also connected a USB flash drive to test the speed and it was just as fast as a direct connection.

Useful but sometimes awkward

I'm confident my MacBook will do anything to avoid a headache. This document is a little sketchy, but if you can get it to work, it's very nice. The DisplayPort and HDMI ports are very useful and do a good job of high-speed data transfer over USB, although Thunderbolt 2 supports simultaneous data transfer over USB at the same time as sending display data. In this matter, they save trade-offs and keep costs down by requiring you to plug in a USB 3 cable to use the USB ports. but then again, it's

So far so good - networking products

At first I thought it wouldn't work, but the Surface Pro 1s' miniport allows you to plug it in backwards. I thought it came with a key like USB connector but you can plug it in wrong and it won't work. Once I figured it was backwards (the print on the connector should be facing forward) it worked fine. Extend my display with an external display on Surface Pro 1. An RJ45 or USB extender has not yet been tested. This will happen next week. But for DNP to HDMI it works fine.

  • Not as good as it promises
