Silhouette SILH Cameo Blade White Review

I got this blade for cutting felt on my Silhouette Cameo and it worked great. I was afraid of damaging my regular blade so I tried this one. I am very glad that they made such a blade.

I have used this with my Cameo 2 to make faux leather earrings. I haven't had any problems, but I've heard you can use it at your own risk. I'm using it now with my Cameo 3 and it works great. Probably a little better. Ideal for thicker materials.

This is terrible! The first day it cut normally, but by the third day it wasn't cutting as much. After 4 days of cutting I had mode 8 and it still didn't cut through 65lb cardboard. I had to go and buy a regular silhouette blade. Don't waste your money and stick with a regular blade!

I bought this specifically for cutting leather and I can honestly say it did the job. My regular silhouette blade was nowhere near capable of slicing through scraps of leather, but this deep-cut blade cut through like butter on the first try. Can't comment on durability, I've been using it for a month. Also, I can't tell if it works on other thicker materials like chipboard or foam. For the price it's worth it!

I bought my Silhouette to cut 2mm thick foam. I tried to get it to work with the autoblade but it didn't quite work. Once I got the print settings right, everything worked great. I trimmed the excess off the cutting mat and all of my shapes stayed in place. It has a manual setting and the numbers don't quite match, but the craft foam needs the deepest setting so it's not hard for me to get it right. YMMV.

This sheet is no joke. If you need to cut something that exceeds setting 10 on a standard silhouette blade, then this is the blade for you. Goes to level 20! Bought to cut felt. I quickly realized that despite being on the 20 setting, the felt didn't need to be easily (and cleanly) cut by dragging a blade across it, so I ironed on freezer paper and ran it through with a double cut three times. I thought using a deep-cutting blade would change the material I'm cutting but it doesn't. I might as well just save the money and buy another automatic knife. This knife is technically designed for the Silhouette Curio, although Cameo can use it too if you understand Cameo's limitations. The deep cutting blade is ideal for thin foam, felt, thin magnets and some other materials less than 2mm thick.
