My kid had a sugar skull activity at school and this skull mold was perfect for it! The sugar skulls came out perfectly and held their shape. Also big size. I was concerned the skulls would be too small, but they were a good, large size so we could really detail the glaze design. Very happy with this purchase.

I didn't use them to make ice cream, instead I used them to make sugar skulls with students. Due to the inward slant of the chin, it is very difficult to remove uncured material from the front of the mold. Most students could not remove their uniforms without breaking their chins. They are of good quality and I am sure they will work as an ice cream mold. I've made some successful sugar skulls with it myself, but I wouldn't recommend buying it as a sugar skull mold for someone who isn't good at

I bought this on a whim and am very happy with it! They are very easy to use and even come with small funnels for pouring liquids. I've used funnels a few times, but to be honest I don't always find them necessary. When I made skull cubes with ice I used a funnel and it made pouring easier. They turned out perfect every time. and I've used both a dozen times. Water splashes on the mold and they open instantly thanks to the smart ventilation design. Your kids can do it just as easily.
