I was mainly looking for a protective cover for my key fob because my key was constantly being opened in my purse. That works great. The lid was easy to put on. Because it puts a protective layer around the key fob, it prevents accidental opening, but it's easy to open the key when needed. Overall I am very happy with this find.

Silicone is good (quality, fit, finish). I would give it a 5 though, as other reviews have mentioned, this product (silicone) has a very very strong (chemical) smell. I had read other reviews before purchasing so I was prepared. I was able to get rid of the strong (chemical) smell by washing it several times. I used very hot water and Dawn dish soap for the first wash/dry, for the second I used very hot water and scented antibacterial hand soap, for the third final wash/dry I used scented hand…

Remote start would have been better but having to turn the key out makes it less durable. It still fits very well and reduces the chance of it slipping out of your pocket (sometimes harder to reach. The buttons are a little harder to press than expected. The color looks pretty good and I've had mine for a couple of months now. The first one still looks like new but if it breaks I have a second one as a backup.

3 stars and I think it's a good buy as there are very few alternatives. Key release is the biggest issue, small gap after a few months and looser than desired due to design constraints. I don't see anyone doing better with the same materials. Getting the red cap was an absolute must for me - with so many similar FOBs it's very easy to point this out to staff when reclaiming your car.
