Silicone is good (quality, fit, finish). I would give it a 5 though, as other reviews have mentioned, this product (silicone) has a very very strong (chemical) smell. I had read other reviews before purchasing so I was prepared. I was able to get rid of the strong (chemical) smell by washing it several times. I used very hot water and Dawn dish soap for the first wash/dry, for the second I used very hot water and scented antibacterial hand soap, for the third final wash/dry I used scented hand soap with lotion. Those 3 flushes seemed to do the trick. The cases now have an easily recognizable silicone/rubber odor common to many other products, a very slight odor, not even an odor.
