This is the connection between what my husband wanted and what I wanted. So it turned out great. We have it in our dining room which is shared with a desk and granite breakfast bar leading into the kitchen.

The included mounting bracket will not fit in the standard 4 inch ceiling fan control box. I checked the major hardware stores and none of them have a 6 inch box. Also, the blades are plastic and didn't look like they would last long. So I wrapped it up and sent it back.

This is a decent product. I'm just a little disappointed that the blades don't "curl up" fully when the fan is off. I like the board, it works well. Installation was a little tricky as the box that came with it wasn't big enough for all the cables for the remote and such in the ceiling. And as someone who doesn't install stock ceiling fans, this wasn't the easiest. But overall yes, it works well.

This is really cool stuff. It's a pleasure to see the blades extend and retract. This is a great solution for a room where you need a fan but want something more visually appealing. The fan moves quite a bit of air and has multiple speeds. My only complaint and the reason for deducting 1 star was that the first unit didn't work. We contacted the seller who didn't fix the problem but I was able to get a replacement from Revain which arrived the next day and worked great.
