I used one of the tools to open my Pickachu Nintendo 64 the first day I received it. There were no problems removing the locking screws. This set is of very good quality and costs $10. Wii will use Triple Wing to open my Wii soon. The last tri-vane I received from another company was of very poor quality, with a bent shaft.

Cheap, decent and just what I wanted. I bought it to clean cartridges for resale. I don't need high quality snap-on tools, I just want a tool that barely works. I'm sure you've all seen the "melt pen tip" trick, which is junk. I got a cheap tool that came with a carrying case so I didn't mix it with all my other tools. I can confirm this will fit screws on NES cartridges as I've taken apart hundreds.

I have used this on my Super Nintendo, N64 and Game Cube and controllers, worked great opening them up so I could service them. I say this: be careful when opening your old consoles, plastic becomes brittle over time. When I opened my SNES & N64, one of the holes on the inside of the console where the security screws are located broke. So note that if your console/controller breaks where the security screws are, it's not necessarily a security bit error.

This is an amazing product for working on old but useful Nintendo games! I've used the kit a few times to open and clean old games. No ordinary tool fits these old games and we have many tools! Everything as described. Delivered on time but the drivers are not very good. There are 2 Y drivers of different sizes. The one for the smaller heads worked pretty well, but the larger one sucked. I took apart my old Gameboy Pocket and some game cartridges to restore it. I also opened up some NES cartridges to clean the pins. I haven't actually tested these tools, but they fit fairly well with very little clearance on fasteners, so you really don't risk removing the tool or the fastener if you don't fully tighten the tool. It's good for the price. It will work just fine, but you'll have to work a little harder than usual to get those Nintendo screws out. I had no trouble with triangular screwdrivers, but the Phillips screwdriver was a bit small but still did the job. I haven't had a chance to use the 3.8mm, but the 4.5mm is a bit too big and the recess isn't deep enough to properly tighten the screws. AWESOME toolbox! Opened n64 with it for cleaning/restoring/painting. It is really necessary to open these plastic dinosaurs, thorough cleaning of the connectors will make the connection much better! and get rid of the headache.
