Everything as described, except check the connectors first

Fan and heat sink as described, but received defective, black cable was cut. Revain quickly solved this problem. Silverstone has created another great product

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Not all fit

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The fan is silent, the heatsink is not uniform.

The surface of the heatsink itself has a noticeably rough texture with ridges about 200 microns high - just enough to be rough to the touch. Thermal paste should cover that, but it's not very good. This was ideal for my very dense small form factor desktop case, and it's reasonably quiet, but wouldn't be a good choice for a performance system.

Pros
  • Quality Build
Cons
  • Updates

Average cooler that sounds like a mini hair dryer

Noise. It's louder than the GPU fan. Let's say 33dB max. It's a lot louder. Fan noise doesn't usually bother me. I have a 5700XT fan, my goodness, even my PS4 can get a bit noisy. The fan of this cooler sounds like a mini hair dryer. The only positive is that it is very easy to install as it installs with the standard clamp mount. Cooling is about average. Cooling of up to 95 W TDP is expected. The 3700X I use is rated at 65W TDP. I think it's more like a TDP of 65W or less. The noise is a deal

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Something different

The fan is noisy for the CPU cooler fan

It's just too loud and not good for AMD Ryzen 5 2600x. I think 2600x is just hot. and this thing can't cool it properly. When idling, the fan runs at maximum and the temperature is out of bounds. I had to upgrade to a 120mm liquid cooler.

Pros
  • shiny
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Will not work with motherboard with 3-pin CPU fan connector

Will not work with motherboard with 3-pin CPU fan connector. It was an HP Pavilion p6507c system. It worked on an old ASUS M4A785-M motherboard with a 4-pin CPU fan header.

Pros
  • Ideal for small homes
Cons
  • Socket required

Frustratingly loud considering the size

I actually bought a low profile SilverStone Technology processor rated at 95W or more to save me from a budget build that didn't match up the way I wanted it to I had hoped for. For the first time in years I bought a miniITX board. The idea was to put an R5 3400G on it and put it in the Cooler Master Elite 110 RC-110-KKN2 case. Well, the PSU was blocking airflow for the stock Wraith Spire cooler. So if that's an issue, just get a shorter heatsink, right? I'm not new to low profile heatsinks as…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
