Great heat source!

Was looking for heat lamps for a feral cat I've been caring for since the pandemic began. It was getting very cold here in Michigan and he did not go to any of the shelters we provided. He just stays below our deck. Well, this winter has been tough and he's started hanging out outside our door with snow on his fur. So we looked for ideas to keep him warm and came up with these lamps. I bought him a bed, put towels in it and we hooked up a pet lamp next to the bed with those lightbulbs. He loved

High hopes but disappointment

I raise poultry as a hobby and have new chicks all the time. I used to use 250w incandescent bulbs but I was afraid they would glow. I live in a very hot climate; I couldn't justify using them and the extreme heat was stressing the chickens. I've tried different wattage lizard bulbs from the pet store, but they rarely last even a week. I saw the same ceramic pears at a pet store but three times the price so I ordered them here. I prefer these lamps to regular "bright" heat lamps, ESPECIALLY the Flukers dimmable lamp, because in combination they give you the ability to quickly and easily adjust the temperature to suit your pet's well-being adjust day or night. It also saves money as ceramic lightbulbs last much longer AND don't explode which can bring broken glass into your pet cage IF you have an animal that you spray with a spray bottle or system and you/she accidentally sprays something on a lightbulb from them…
