Good long-lived pears. Keep your animals at the right temperature, they won't break if you hit them with fog.

I prefer these lamps to regular "bright" heat lamps, ESPECIALLY the Flukers dimmable lamp, because in combination they give you the ability to quickly and easily adjust the temperature to suit your pet's well-being adjust day or night. It also saves money as ceramic lightbulbs last much longer AND don't explode which can bring broken glass into your pet cage IF you have an animal that you spray with a spray bottle or system and you/she accidentally sprays something on a lightbulb from them. Water. Additionally, you can save money by purchasing lower wattage fluorescent bulbs, as the higher the wattage the more expensive, and they usually need to be replaced every few months for a true UVA-UVB bulb to be most effective anyway. Don't get me wrong some animals need a higher intensity bulb or you have a tall cage and need it to provide the right wave of light at the base at the top either way you can still use these ceramic bulbs for cold weather or if I like your house in the range of 72-74ยฐ and heat light alone is not enough to warm up your pet to the required temperature. I usually have 2-3 dimmable lights on each of my cages (more depending on the size). Sometimes I also add a heating pad depending on the animal. I usually have one of these ceramic bulbs in one bulb for daylight in another and a red or black bulb in another for night time as it puts out a very bright high power light when you are trying to nap during the day or a bright red or Black light can be annoying at night, being able to dim each "light bulb" and adjust the ceramic bulb makes it so much better. If you already have a lamp and it's not a dimmer you can easily add a dimmer and get the same effect, although for the money you spend on a lamp and dimmer you can save money by using just buy a dimmable lamp from Flukers. I recommend Flukers lamps because they have a ceramic base (not the usual plastic base and light body like Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc.) with a thick metal body and a highly reflective surface. If you're using a fluorescent light to breed crickets, roaches, etc., or as a heat source for chicks or other baby animals that don't need a real fluorescent light to live or breed, these lights are best, if only for longevity and the fact that in your grow room, closet, wherever you are, the Ark of the Covenant is inside! Finally I found these bulbs are great for keeping food warm, if you like having fun and have a spare bulb and lamp or it's night time and your pet doesn't need a heat lamp you can use it for that without the usual red heat lamps you will be using Buffet see that they cost less money, especially compared to the red light bulbs in the buffet.
